Base Currency in Trendo Trading Accounts

In Trendo Broker, when opening a trading account, users can choose their preferred base currency from 11 international currencies. The base currency is the unit of currency in which the account balance, deposits, withdrawals, and profits and losses from trades are displayed.

Base Currencies Available in Trendo

Users can select from the following base currencies for their accounts:

  • United States Dollar (USD)

  • Euro (EUR)

  • British Pound (GBP)

  • Australian Dollar (AUD)

  • New Zealand Dollar (NZD)

  • Japanese Yen (JPY)

  • Swiss Franc (CHF)

  • Canadian Dollar (CAD)

  • Chinese Yuan (CNH)

  • Singapore Dollar (SGD)

  • South African Rand (ZAR)

Important Notes About Base Currency

  • How to Choose the Base Currency: When opening a new account in Trendo's user area, you can select your desired base currency.

  • Number of Trading Accounts: Users can create multiple trading accounts with different base currencies to follow diverse strategies.

  • Immutability of Base Currency: Once a trading account is created, the base currency cannot be changed. If you wish to trade with a different base currency, you must open a new account with the preferred currency.

  • Transfers Between Accounts with Different Currencies: When transferring funds between accounts with different base currencies, the currency conversion will occur automatically at the latest exchange rate, so no manual steps are needed.

  • Impact of Base Currency on Trading: The chosen base currency affects how profits and losses, commissions, and trading costs are displayed. Therefore, it is recommended to choose a base currency that aligns with your local currency or the currency you primarily use.
