At Trendo, swap refers to the interest rate differential between two currencies in a trading pair, applied to positions held overnight (after the end of the trading day). This amount can be positive or negative and is calculated each night based on the central banks’ interest rates of the two countries and the broker’s policies.
Swap Long (Buy Swap): Cost or income for a long (buy) position
Swap Short (Sell Swap): Cost or income for a short (sell) position
Triple Swap on Wednesday: To cover weekend settlement, the daily swap is tripled at the end of Wednesday
Note: Cryptocurrencies are not subject to triple swaps due to the 24/7 nature of their market.
The swap rate for each instrument is pre-determined and visible on the platform.

Note: Swaps at Trendo are calculated based on interbank interest rates according to a defined formula. The broker does not intervene in setting these rates.

Application Time: Every night around 21:00 GMT (00:30 Tehran time).
Example: For a 1-lot gold buy position, the current Swap Long is –2.35 USD, applied exactly at the time above and visible on the position.
Applied swaps can also be viewed by clicking on the trade.
Following market convention, the daily swap is tripled at the close of Wednesday’s trading to cover the cost of holding positions over the weekend.
Note: Cryptocurrencies, having a 24/7 market, do not have triple swaps on Wednesday; their swaps remain the same daily.
On weekend market holidays (Saturday and Sunday), no swaps are calculated for inactive instruments except cryptocurrencies.
